The Tai and Valle di Cadore bypasses on the State Road 51 Alemagna were inaugurated and opened to traffic on January 26, 2026, improving traffic flow towards Cortina d'Ampezzo, site of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
The project, with an investment of approximately €185 million, includes a 1,000-meter tunnel in Tai and a 620-meter tunnel in Valle di Cadore, eliminating historic bottlenecks.
The lighting fixtures for the two tunnels were supplied by Phaenomena, which also oversaw the lighting design using LITESTAR 4D Tunnel e Tunnel Plus.
