OXL (Litepack)
is a new file format for data exchange in the lighting sector.
It is the evolution of the photometric data interchange files,
such as the Eulumdat, the IES, the English Cibse TM14, the
Scandinavian LTLI and the CIE 102, usually limited to photometric
data only.
The OXL, which takes advantage of the XML file technology,
allows to manage in a single file:
- the photometries of the luminaires
- the technical data sheet
- the images
- the 3D files
- the accessory documents
and transfer therefore the characteristic information of
the luminaire from one application to another in a simple
and efficient way.
It is the first case
of XML file used in the lighting sector.
